Echelon was built by operators, for operators. Our three founders brought decades of combined experience across logistics companies large, small and everything in between — along with a shared belief that critical freight deserved a higher standard of execution.

HOW ECHELON CAME TO BE.
2020
The Beginning
Echelon was founded by three logistics professionals with more than 35 years of combined industry experience. After working across logistics companies large and small, we saw an opportunity to build something different — a transportation company focused on quality, accountability and the execution of critical freight.
2020
OUR FIRST REEFER SPRINTER
In 2020, we purchased our first refrigerated Sprinter van and officially opened Echelon. Just three months later, COVID-19 changed the world. With offices empty and traditional business development nearly impossible, we had to find another way to build the company.
2020-2022
BUILDING OUR FOUNDATION: THE QMS
During the pandemic, we turned our focus inward and built a Quality Management System specifically designed around the demands of pharmaceutical transportation. Driver training, temperature records, CAPA reports, pest control, equipment documentation and operating procedures became part of a system built around one principle: everything documented, everything recorded. That QMS became the backbone of Echelon—and continues to improve with every customer audit and every lesson learned.
2022–2023
OUR FIRST PHARMACEUTICAL SHIPPER
With our QMS in place, Echelon onboarded its first pharmaceutical shipper. The systems and standards we had spent years building were put into practice, trust grew, and new opportunities followed. What began with a single refrigerated Sprinter was becoming a specialized transportation operation built for some of the industry’s most demanding freight.
2023–2025
GROWTH THROUGH QUALITY
As customer demand grew, so did our fleet. Echelon expanded from refrigerated Sprinter vans into 16-foot and 26-foot refrigerated straight trucks and 53-foot reefers. Each piece of temperature-controlled equipment is mapped, validated and documented within our QMS—allowing us to grow without compromising the standards the company was built on.

BUILT FOR WHAT’S NEXT
Today, Echelon operates a growing fleet of refrigerated Sprinter vans, 16-foot and 26-foot refrigerated straight trucks, and 53-foot reefers while serving many of the industry’s leading freight forwarders and shippers. The equipment has grown and the operation has evolved, but the foundation remains the same: disciplined processes, documented execution and a commitment to continually raising the standard.

THE QMS IS OUR ADVANTAGE.
Our Quality Management System is the backbone of Echelon. Built during the earliest days of the company, it governs how our drivers, operations team and equipment are managed, trained, documented and continuously improved.
From driver training and temperature records to CAPA reports, equipment validation, pest control and documented SOPs, every part of the operation is built around accountability. Customer audits continue to shape the system, with findings and recommendations incorporated back into the QMS so it gets stronger year after year.
